 Healthy Skin

6 Tips for Glowing and Healthy Skin:

  1. Protect Yourself From the Sun.
  2. A lifetime of sun exposure can cause wrinkles, age spots, as well as increase the risk of skin cancer. For the most complete sun protection use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15, seek shade, and avoid the sun between 10 am and 2 pm, when the sun's rays are the strongest.

  3. Don't Smoke!
  4. Smoking contributes to wrinkles and makes your skin look older. Smoking narrows the blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin, which leads to deprivation of oxygen and essential nutrients. Smoking results in damage to collagen and elastin - the fibers that give your skin strength and elasticity. In addition, the repetitive facial expressions can contribute to wrinkles. If you smoke, the best way to protect your skin is to quit.

  5. Treat Your Skin Gently:
    • Limit bath time. Hot water and long baths or showers remove natural oils from your skin.
    • Avoid strong soaps which can strip natural oil from your skin, and choose mild ones instead.
    • Pat dry, so some moisture remains on your skin.
    • Moisturize dry skin with moisturizer that fits your skin type.
    • Eat a healthy diet, with plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.

Some research suggests that diet rich in vitamin C and low in unhealthy fats and processed and refined carbohydrates might promote younger looking skin.

  6. Manage Stress.
  7. Stress can make your skin more sensitive and trigger acne breakouts. It is important to set reasonable limits, scale back your to do list and make time to do the things you enjoy!

  8. Get a Professional Facial Treatment Once a Month.
  9. Professional skin care will help your skin to gain back qualities which time, stress, and environment took away.

 Sciatica Pain

How to Ease Sciatica Pain:

Sciatica refers to pain that radiates along the sciatic nerve path. That path goes through your lower back, hips and buttocks, and then continues down each leg. Usually sciatica affects one side of your body but not the other.

As a first step to help ease this pain, it’s recommend to get a few Medical Massage Treatments, in a two weeks’ time frame. Sciatica specialized massage treatments along with the recommended exercises, over-counter pain and anti-inflammatory medication should bring significant relief.

The next step is to help prevent this pain from recurring: A good exercise routine performed twice a day (10 minutes total,) and a massage therapy on a monthly basis should keep the Sciatica Pain from coming back.

If the pain doesn't ease within two weeks, you need to see a Medical Doctor.
